Ingredients

  • 120 mls (0.5 cup) BBQ sauce
  • 4 Burger buns
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 1 Tomato (sliced)
  • 1 Red onion (sliced)
  • 4 Cheddar cheese slices
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean the Portobello mushrooms and remove the stems.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Brush the mixture onto both sides of the mushrooms.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the mushrooms on the grill, gill side up, and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with BBQ sauce.
  6. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each mushroom to melt.
  7. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or until golden.
