Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Loin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 240 mls (1 cup) All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 480 mls (2 cups) Panko breadcrumbs
  • 480 mls (2 cups) Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Pound the pork loin slices to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  2. Season both sides of the pork slices with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each pork slice in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the breaded pork slices until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove from pan, drain excess oil on paper towels.
  7. Slice the tonkatsu and serve with tonkatsu sauce, shredded cabbage, and steamed rice.
