Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients
- 500 gms (1.11 lbs) chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 240 mls (1 cup) fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 tbsps vegetable oil
- 4 garlic, minced cloves
- 2 red chili, sliced
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsps dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced red chili to the pan, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the thinly sliced chicken breast to the pan, and stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced shallots to the pan and continue to stir-fry for another minute.
- Pour in the dark soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Add the fresh Thai basil leaves to the pan, and stir-fry for another 30 seconds until the basil is wilted and fully incorporated.
- Serve the Thai Basil Chicken Stir-Fry immediately with steamed jasmine rice.
