Teriyaki Chicken with Steamed Rice

Ingredients
- 2 Chicken breast
- 240 mls (1 cup) Soy sauce
- 240 mls (1 cup) Brown sugar
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp Ginger
- 480 mls (2 cups) Rice
- 960 mls (4 cups) Water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and marinate them in half of the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a pan until fully cooked.
- In a separate pot, rinse the rice and add water.
- Cover the pot and let the rice steam for about 20 minutes or until cooked.
- Serve the teriyaki chicken over steamed rice and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce on top.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for best flavor
