  • 2 Chicken breast
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Soy sauce
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Brown sugar
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 480 mls (2 cups) Rice
  • 960 mls (4 cups) Water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and marinate them in half of the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the marinated chicken in a pan until fully cooked.
  4. In a separate pot, rinse the rice and add water.
  5. Cover the pot and let the rice steam for about 20 minutes or until cooked.
  6. Serve the teriyaki chicken over steamed rice and drizzle the remaining teriyaki sauce on top.
