Ingredients

  • 4 Mackerel fillets
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsps Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 2 tbsps Sugar
  • 2 Minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsps Sesame oil
  • 2 Green onions stalks
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, Gochujang, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and chopped green onions to make the marinade.
  2. Place the mackerel fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each fillet is coated well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated mackerel fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the grilled mackerel before serving. Enjoy!
