Low Carb Korean BBQ Beef Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
- 500 gms (1.11 lbs) ground beef
- 60 mls (0.25 cup) soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tsps garlic, minced
- 2 tsps ginger, minced
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 12 lettuce leaves
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 tsps sugar substitute
Instructions
- In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, approximately 8-10 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, cooking until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar substitute. Stir well to combine all the ingredients with the beef.
- Stir in the chopped green onions and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until everything is well incorporated.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- To serve, spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf, sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Wrap the lettuce leaf around the beef mixture like a taco, and enjoy!
Notes
- These lettuce wraps are great for a low-carb meal option.
- You can use any type of lettuce, but butter lettuce works best.
