  • 3 tsps garlic, minced
  • 2 tsps ginger, minced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 12 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tsps sugar substitute

Instructions

  1. In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, cooking until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar substitute. Stir well to combine all the ingredients with the beef.
  4. Stir in the chopped green onions and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until everything is well incorporated.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  6. To serve, spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf, sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  7. Wrap the lettuce leaf around the beef mixture like a taco, and enjoy!
