  • 240 mls (1 cup) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 2 carrots medium, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper large, sliced
  • 1 onion large, sliced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well.
  2. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain and add it to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a wok or large skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Add carrots, bell pepper, and onion to the wok. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add green onions and sesame seeds. Toss everything together and cook for another minute.
