Ingredients

  • 6 Thinly sliced beef sirloin
  • 6 Garlic cloves
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Breadcrumbs
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsps Olive oil
  • 240 mls (1 cup) Red wine
  • 480 mls (2 cups) Crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the breadcrumb mixture onto each slice of beef, then roll them up and secure with toothpicks.
  3. In a large pan, heat olive oil and brown the beef rolls on all sides.
  4. Add red wine and crushed tomatoes to the pan, bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for about 1.5 hours.
  5. Remove toothpicks before serving.

  • You can use toothpicks to secure the rolls if needed
