Ingredients
- 500 gms (1.11 lbs) Beef sirloin steak
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 200 gms (0.44 lb) White mushrooms
- 240 mls (1 cup) Beef broth
- 240 mls (1 cup) Sour cream
- 2 tbsps Butter
- 2 tbsps Flour
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsps Olive oil
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips and season with salt, pepper, and paprika
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and brown the beef strips in batches, then set aside
- Add butter to the skillet and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to combine
- Pour in beef broth and simmer until the sauce thickens
- Stir in the sour cream and return the beef strips to the skillet
- Simmer for a few minutes until the beef is cooked through and the sauce is well combined
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed
- Serve the Beef Stroganoff hot over rice or noodles, garnished with fresh parsley
