Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients
- 450 gms (1 lb) Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 480 mls (2 cups) Broccoli florets
- 240 mls (1 cup) Soy sauce
- 2 tbsps Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Garlic, minced cloves
- 1 tbsp Ginger, grated
- 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsps Vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to make the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add beef slices and stir-fry until browned.
- Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over steamed rice.
Notes
- You can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different variation
- Make sure to not overcook the broccoli to retain its crunchiness
